Inclement Weather Plan

Presort First Class attempts to always service our customers to the best of our ability in most any weather.Thursday January 28 has been predicted for an ice storm greater than the weather of Christmas Eve.

Presort First Class will run a Holiday schedule Thursday due to the inclement weather report. All pick-ups will be 3 hours earlier than normal.

Christmas Eve, the weather closed too rapidly for us to react. My 21 drivers performed very well. We had two accidents neither of which were our drivers fault. We also had 1 slip and fall at a customers’ location which required medical treatment for our driver.
My first concern is for my employee’s safety.

I am asking my customer’s to understand that if the weather becomes impassable, I may ground our fleet. Most of you know that our drivers are trained and equipped to perform in weather that most of our customers would call impassable. Therefore, know that we will make every attempt to accommodate you and pick up the mail. As a precaution, we are running an early schedule. For a good guideline, we will follow the actions of the State of Oklahoma. If they are ordered to close, we will ground our fleet.

This is tax season and we are aware they must go by January 30, the last working day of January. I encourage you to make special EARLY pick up arrangements for those statements.

For communication purposes, Chris Davis, Transportation Supervisor can be reached at 405-406-2853. We also have established an e-mail, pickups@presortfirstclass.com . If you will be closing early or have special needs, contact us at the number for Chris Davis or our main number 405-677-9633 or by e-mail. Remember to allow reasonable time for our adjustments to your needs.

Be safe during these difficult times. We will make every effort to pick-up, process and present your mail to the USPS but the USPS does have a definite time frame that we must adhere to. Communication is a must.
